145 Tellurium copper, a free-machining copper, exhibits high electrical and thermal conductivity which is suitable for high-speed automatic screw machines and electrical applications.
145 Tellurium Copper got high resistance to hydrogen embrittlement coupled with high thermal and electrical conductivity. It is an ideal choice metal for electrical applications that require corrosion resistance and extensive machining and hot forged materials.
Copper exhibits cutting properties that are significantly enhanced by creating a copper alloy with additional tellurium content of about .5%, adapted for application in high-speed automatic screw machines. Copper 145 tellurium possesses the higher machinability rating scale of 85 – 90 % than pure coppers which have a machinability rating of only about 20%.
The high machinability tellurium copper exhibits result in an increased efficiency on both manual and automatic production lines and also a significantly longer tool life.
C145 tellurium can exhibit longer tool life compared to pure copper.
